Hello, and thank you for visiting Katrynka Ink.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share my work with you.

It is imprinted upon my soul, this need to express myself through the arts...
I have no formal art education, yet to say that I am self-taught would be misleading, as I have received the finest education from many artists throughout my life, whether from family and friends, or through taking a handful of workshops, pouring over so many books and magazines, and simply wandering through some truly wonderful galleries and museums.  Learning to make beauty takes many teachers...
By far, my favorite teacher has always been Pacha Mama(Mother Earth).  Her abundant beauty inspires me in all ways, sublime and serene, her mountains majestic, her oceans ecstatic, her creatures wild, her medicines potent, and her lessons  eternal.  My free-form, earthly education has been extremely rewarding and I am amazed that the flood of inspiration to design and create objects of healing and beauty is endless.

Through faith and devotion, I have learned to use my imagination and intuition to work with what Nature has provided, whether it be pigment, fiber, stones, bones, metal, feathers or shells.  I have found these pieces of the Earth to possess spiritual healing qualities, or metaphysical properties, that have a profoundly positive  effect upon one's being...

I am deeply influenced by nature and the metaphysical. In my estimation, one informs the other, and one cannot be without the other. I intend to express that interconnectedness through my work.

My intent is to create medicinal adornment for body and home from synergistic combinations of  color, light and vibration in the form of jewelry fabrication and art crafting that reflects and incorporates nature, while at the same time elevating the spirit and leaving a pleasant impression.

I am grateful to be a member of the community of artists and healers, and strive to honor our ancestors by teaching, healing and creating beauty along my path.  It is my hope that you will feel a connection to to nature and spirit while interacting with my my artwork.

   -Blessed Be
